Owned by founder and designer Erin Claus and partner Shoji Miyazawa, Claus is a handmade jewelry line based in Kingston, New York.
All pieces are crafted from recycled metal and conflict-free stones.
About Erin
After going to school for metalsmithing at SUNY New Paltz and working for NYC based jewelry designers, Erin slowly began designing and creating her own body of work. As a cohesive collection came to fruition, she launched her first line of jewelry 2014.

About Shoji
After obtaining a BFA in metal from Southern Illinois University and an MFA from SUNY New Paltz, Shoji worked at the Metropolitan Museum of Art for 6 years before joining Claus full-time in 2019. Shoji’s careful attention to detail, and ever-growing knowledge of metalsmithing give Claus pieces their beautiful craftsmanship.
